milka donut cookies with pecans

Last time I promised you a cookie recipe. After Cookie Monster, and his "Me want cookie" it had to be a cookie post.;-)
So here you are. It's not just a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe, it's a Milka-Philadelphia explosion, dressed up like a donut.
A donut cookie dream.
Philadelphia with Milka, what a wonderful combo.
I just found it last time while strolling through the supermarket. (one of my favorite things to do, while I'm searching for new inspiration)
In my life time I ate a lot of cookies. Crunchy cookies, nutty cookies, chocolate cookies, whole wheat cookies, stone hard cookies, bad ones and good ones, chewy cookies....
God strike me dead, if it's not true, but these are the best cookies I ever made.
Soft, chocolaty and nutty at the same time...

milka donut cookies with pecans
(inspired by Philadelphia)

(servings 10 donut cookies)

1 1/4 cups flour
1/3 cup + 2 tbs butter
1 1/2 tbs baking powder
1/3 cup sugar
1 pinch of salt
vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 package Philadelphia with Milka

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line cookie sheet with baking paper and set aside.
  2. Cream together the butter, sugar, salt and vanilla extract until smooth. Add Philadelphia with milka at a time, then stir in the flour and baking powder. At last add chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  3. Form 10 flat cookie balls and place them on the cookie sheet
  4. Bake for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Immediately after baking cut out the center of each cookie with a round cookie cutter and let cool down.

Store donut cookies in airtight jars.
