Zebra chocolate icebox cake. From the outside you can´t even expect the beauty of the inside.
Only the first cut through the tender chocolate frosting uncovers the delicious secret.
Perfect for hot summer days and so absolutely yummy. 
A devine dessert made of cocoa cookies with vanilla filling (Oreos), coated by fluffy whipping 
cream and tender chocolate frosting.
Impress your family and friends with this simple dessert, they gonna love it.

Zebra Schokoladen Icebox Kuchen. Von aussen kann man nicht einmal die Innere Schönheit erahnen.
Der Schnitt durch die zarte Schokoladenglasur enthüllt das köstliche Geheimnis.
Perfekt für heiße Sommertage und so unglaublich Lecker.
Ein göttliches Dessert, gezaubert aus Schokoladenkeksen mit Vanille Füllung (Oreos), umhüllt von 
luftiger Sahne und zarter Schokoladenglasur.
Mit diesem einfachen Dessert kann man ganz einfach Familie und Freunde begeistern.

Icebox cake is an easy to prepare dessert. No baking needed and sooooo delicious.
My icebox cake looks just like a zebra, caught between layers of chocolate and whipping cream;-)

Icebox Kuchen ist ein einfaches Rezept, ohne Backen und sooooo Lecker.
Mein Icebox Kuchen sieht aus wie ein Zebra, gefangen zwischen Schichten von Schokolade und Sahne;-)


Zebra chocolate icebox cake

Ingredients:
icebox cake
10 cocoa cookies with vanilla cream filling (Oreo)
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup whipping cream
2 teaspoons sugar

chocolate frosting
1/2 cup whipping cream
4 oz chocolate, chopped

3 tablespoons chopped almonds

Directions:

For the icebox cake
In a medium bowl whip together whipping cream and sugar until stiff and soft peaks form.
Dip each cookie into milk, only for a few seconds, the cookies should only be dipped, not soaked.



Spread whipped cream on one side of each cookie and stack them together in a line. (picture below) 



Transfer cookie snake to a plate lined with baking paper and cover cake completely with remaining whipping cream.
Place in freezer for about 2 hours, or until whipping cream is set.



For the chocolate frosting:
In a small saucepan bring whipping cream to a boil. Add chopped chocolate and let rest for a few minutes, stir until dissolved.
Take cake out of the fridge and cover completely with the chocolate frosting.
Sprinkle with chopped almonds and store for another 2 hours in the freezer or until you are ready to enjoy...

Cut icebox cake diagonal to admire the beautiful zebra look inside.

    1. Hello Sarah, what a nice compliment. I've got the platter from amazon. In Germany we normally eat our Bratwurst from these paper plates. The platter I used it made from porcelain. You can find it here;-) Thanks for stopping by;-)
